Production with all the luxury and speed of a Formula One car!
If you ever needed proof of the 1800 Projects team’s capabilities and our knack for delivering premium, high-end finished products, look no further.
Just a week before the F1 season opener in Melbourne, 1800 Projects was tasked with a nearly impossible mission: to create and deliver several bespoke, high-end items for the F1, as part of the Moet & Chandon and Louis Vuitton sponsorship.
Rising to the challenge, we worked tirelessly with our incredible network of suppliers and the 1800 Projects production team, who put in a full week of hard work to get everything done. By Friday night, every part was finished and packed. Three members of our production team – Shaun, Jilani, and Ash – then drove through the night to ensure everything arrived in Melbourne by 6 AM on Saturday.
The pride we feel in how this all came together is hard to put into words. The team rallied together, each person contributing at some point to make sure we met the tight deadline.
To give you a sense of the scale of this task, here’s a breakdown of what we managed to produce in just one week:
- Custom champagne bottle plinths with precise branding and finishes: we created 6 x clear acrylic plinths and 1 x for the signed winner’s bottle, made from black acrylic with standoff and lockable wheels, white matte CCV branding on all sides.
- VIP backdrop media walls: we created 2 x 4.8×2.4metre media walls, made from aluminium frame and 1 finished with direct printed stainless steel sheet and other with 3mm blue ACM.
- Custom made trophy plinths: 1 from aluminium with an MDF frame, sandblasting and etched branding, 4 from aluminium and 2 clear acrylic with seamless edge detail, both with matte white CCV branding.
- Moet & Chandon 1, 2, 3 boards: made from 4mm ACM with a metal base and direct print branding.
- Velvet ropes and bollards: laser-engraved with F1 branding
- Driver and delegate risers for the grid: Made from 3mm aluminium checker plate & 3mm ACM kicker.
- Custom made driver plates: direct print on silver and gold bushed ACM.
- Custom made road cases
